My daughter is like many, not actually SPD but has her quirks and probably could have benefited from a therapy program early on. She is 10 and only started wearing flip flops at 8 (nothing between toes), still can't handle tags, just started wearing jeans last year (was yoga pants or sweats) and of course NO SEAMS! I have tried cheaper seamless socks but they don't cut it. They seem too thin or stretchy. These socks last, she wears them w/o complaint year round. SOLD! About age,6, my daughter started developing a major sensitivity to seams, pockets, jeans, sock, shoes, etc. Socks were the worst. She threw fits every day having to put on socks and shoes for school. We had to turn her socks inside out, cut off the little hangy bits at the corners of her toes, massage them, twist them, pull them, etc., trying to get them just right. . Usually she'd leave the house in tears. Finally, at my wit's end, I found these socks. I held my breath while she tried them on and...she loved them! Within 5 seconds she declared them wonderful. She calls them her "soft socks." We recently tried two other brands that were cheaper that claimed to be seamless but they are not! They are just as awful as regular socks to her. So only the SmartKnit KIDS will do in our house. Even though they're pricey, it's worth cutting out one clothing battle each day. I'm so grateful for these socks! (My only gripe is that they stain easily. Despite repeated washings, the bottoms stay dirty-looking.)Value Quality Price
Update: I recently decided to buy some more of these socks, but I ordered them in size L instead of size M. The size L and up are different! They do not have the folded and sown hem at the top so they roll down a bit, they have more of a seam across the toes instead of no seam at all like the size M ( I can barely see the difference, but she can feel it and it bugs her), and the toe shape is different. It's more of a hexagon instead of a slightly rounded flat edge, which is dumb; your biggest toe is at the side, not in the middle! She does NOT like these at all! I'm going to have to return them and go back to the size M. So if you're borderline on sizes, I'd go with the M..it's far more comfortable and more truly seamless. It's frustrating that these two sizes of the same sock are so different. SmartKIDS, don't mess with perfection!! (Posted on 2/9/12) - Thank You! Review by Jen

While I think that $7 for a pair of socks is a little steep, it was well worth spending the money to get my son to put his shoes and socks on without tears. He hates the feeling of the seams and even so called seamless socks from the store were not truly seamless and he would not wear them. These socks are great. My daughter just turned 6 and has Sensory Processing Disorder. She has ALWAYS had trouble with the seams in socks and usually either refuses to wear socks or throws a tantrum. We live in New England so the winters are cold and she needs socks. I ordered a few pairs of these and had her try them on. I asked her how they were and, with a huge smile, she said "I like them!" Now she asks for her "special socks". I'm ordering more! My daughter's happiness is worth the price!! (Posted on 12/31/11)Quality Price Value - Lifesaver Review by Linda

My 9 year old son with SPD tried these and loves them. After years of sock issues (which is putting it mildly, he actually says these feel good. I just ordered our second batch after trying these. I guess in the long run, you save money because you don't have to keep trying different brands to find some that don't have those pesky seams. Plus, they should fit through many shoe sizes. I first ordered the socks last fall. It was time to start wearing socks and my son flat out refused to put any on. He has Asperger's and sensory integration issues and socks have always been an issue for him. The first time he tried them on he loved them! Now they are the only socks he will wear. He is happy, so I am happy!!! (Posted on 8/4/11)Price Value Quality - Miracle Socks! Review by Filibnz
