I thought I just had a very strange child until I came upon your website in search of seamless socks. I was so happy to see all the other parents having the same issue. I have 5 year old twins, both girls. One of my twins since about
2 or 3 years old has had a problem with tags and especially the seam in socks. My problem grew as we hit a time period about 2 months ago when "nothing felt right" with complete meltdowns to follow. Socks seemed like the least of my problems. I researched the internet and spoke with a relative who is in the field of working with developmentally disabled children. What I found was I couldn't jump to the conclusion that she had a sensory issue because it could well be a behavioral problem.

Thank god for your product! My 11 year old son would try on every pair of socks he had before turning them inside out so that the knots and seams wouldn't bother him. He would go through at least 6 pairs every morning. I tried cutting out the knots but they would fall apart because it's always in the corner. Before SmartKnitKIDS Socks, I dreaded having my daughter put her shoes and socks on, however not as much as she did. It would be a battle. She would scream, cry and yell telling me that the socks "hurt her". I finally gave up and let her wear either BIG rainboots or crocs everyday-even to weddings and church. Thanks to your seamless socks, mornings at our house are stress-free! I want to thank you for your kids' socks. Our daughter (age 7), has always had issues with socks. In fact, she'd rather wear no shoes at all than wear socks. She is an incredible soccer player but every Saturday we have issues with her soccer socks. She even quit dancing because of the tights she had to wear. I have a six year old son with cerebral palsy. He wears orthotics that come to his mid-calf, and I was so tired of socks working their way down into his shoes. Poor kid! He was getting blisters, and complaining that his feet hurt. I purchased XL socks (his shoe size is a 9 without orthos, 11 with). I have been searching for you my whole life! Ok, maybe not my whole life, but a better part of my 11 yr. old son's life! My son was born 16 wks. early and because of his severe prematurity he developed Cerebral Palsy. We were able to buy the name brand socks that were triple rolled and use them with his braces until he was about 6, then they didn't come in his size. Most of all they didn't make socks for braces that came in color!! My daughter battles me every morning when I ask her to put her socks on so we can get her on the kindergarten bus on time--she hates the sock seams and no matter how we arrange the socks/tights on her foot, we can't seem to get it so the seam isn't annoying her. I thought this was very strange until I read other people's comments on this web site. It's been a about a year since our five-year-old daughter, who has been diagnosed with both a sensory disorder and anxiety disorder, has been able to wear socks without a full blown, tear filled meltdown. My boy is 7 years old and for years we have been struggling with socks. The seams on socks actually seemed to hurt him. We dreaded anytime winter came along and he could no longer wear sandals. SmartKnitKIDS Success! My son has very wide feet. With diligence we've been able to find shoes that fit nicely but socks do not come in XXW! Luckily, Therawear was easy to find on the web and my son loves his seamless socks! They are long wearing and stretchy enough to accommodate a growing foot.
