At Therawear, compression hose are also called support hosiery and are designed to promote healthy blood circulation. Blood circulation is the movement of blood throughout your body and is crucial to keeping your heart pumping, your brain functioning, and your legs moving. Veins are the body's transport vehicle for carrying blood back to the heart. Sometimes this blood flow can be hindered by the forces of gravity and other health conditions that may cause the vein valves to work improperly.

Healthy leg veins consist of a series of valves that are designed to overcome the forces of gravity and prevent blood from flowing backwards. When these vein valves are not working properly (a condition known as venous insufficiency) blood can pool in the leg veins where the pressure from gravity is greatest.

This blood pooling can cause a variety of problems including tired legs and feet, varicose veins, and swelling of the ankles and legs.

Graduated compression applies pressure to the ankle and then gradually decreases the amount of pressure on up the leg. The concentrated pressure in our compression hose can help to alleviate various conditions caused by reduced blood flow including pain, swelling, varicose veins, and venous insufficiency.

Available in a variety of support levels, styles, and colors, Therawear's graduated compression hose provide your legs and feet with the health, comfort, and support you deserve.
